Blog Sale

Hey everyone, just a quick post to let you know I'm selling a lot of stuff on my depop. As a blogger, I often wear things a few times, and never wear them again as I don't like to feature the same clothes on my blog over and over again. So, I'm selling some gorgeous pieces from a vintage turquoise dress, to a all over sequin bodycon dress. UK P&P is included in the price, comment on an item if you are international and want to buy and I will calculate the price of postage for you and add it on. A couple of the items are brand new, unworn. Currently selling 17 items, but much more to be added soon!

Visit my depop here, and don't forget to follow me on bloglovin' here.

You are, a cinema, I could watch you forever

IMG_9772
These shoes have been solid favourites of mine for the past two or three years I've owned them for. Beautiful, edgy and oh, so painful. I like to crack them out for outfit posts and 'going out for dinner' nights in which I will be driven to the restaurant and sitting down for the duration of the evening. But they went perfectly with this playsuit and necklace, they tie together so beautifully I feel a bit emotional. I had to wear them. Yeah, I suffered for it, but I have no regrets.

This Playsuit was sent to me by Miss Luxe who are the first company I am working with via The Blogger Programme, who are a new network aiming to connect bloggers to companies! Budding bloggers should definitely check it out. I'm also going to link below a little video that went up on my vlog channel, two days ago. After seeing Tanya Burr and Joe Sugg do a similar video, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and film myself reacting to my old facebook profile photos- cringe!

It's 4am and I know you're with him

DSC_4522
Having a photographer come video production extraordinaire as a house mate comes in pretty handy when. 1. your own camera is broken and 2. you can be bothered to mess around with a tripod. If you'd like to check out my housemate's other work, you can click here for her videos. She is awesome, I love you, Mina. I'd also like to point out that although the sky looks incredibly grey, it was in fact warm enough for bare legs today, in spite of the torrential rain we experienced this morning.

So I think we all need to take a moment to admire my new sandals. Soft, beautifully fitting and so on trend in this amazing metallic gold, these Clarks babies really steal the show. I've seen some amazing shoes from Clarks recently, especially since they teamed up with Orla Kiely to create magic. Basically. I chose these sandals because I thought they were a very versatile piece which would be great for wandering the Turkish markets and Greek island towns I will be visiting this Summer! Don't forget to follow me on bloglovin' here!

If you want to see more of the stuff I've been a'buying recently, give the video below a watch!

Would you wanna run away too?

IMG_9700
Today was a day of intermittent torrential rain, aka a fashion blogger's arch nemesis. You're wearing a great outfit you really want to post about but do you risk getting your camera wet by dashing out in between showers? Or do you make the rookie mistake of trying the photograph your outfit indoors and ending up with dodgy lit images? I went for the former, which is why my face in all of these photographs is one of sheer concentration, and a tiny bit moody- I wanted great shots, asap, before the heavens opened again!

This outfit was compiled around my new scarf, which is in the most gorgeous colour, so vibrant! Its beautifully soft with a lovely dragonfly design. Aside from being aesthetically pleasing, its also huge and light which means it will be the perfect companion for covering up on my Cruise this Summer. We are visiting some of the hot countries which still require you to cover up out of respect. I'll sling it over my head, or over my shoulders and remain cool and stylish- its a win win. You can buy Simply Scarves on ebay or depop, in a large, or small size for £8 or £5. A cheap, chic accessory. Don't forget to follow me on bloglovin' here!

Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner & Eye Makeup Remover Review

Benefit very kindly invited me along to their launch party for the highly anticipated 'They're Real Push Up Liner' and 'They're Real Makeup Remover' which are sister products to the UK's number one mascara 'They're Real.' The event was based around a prison, think 'Orange is the new Black' and you are half way there was a 'crime scene' outside the building and we had mug shots taken upon entry to the building. There were american prison guard (who were not bad looking at all!) serving us food, champagne and keeping order. We were given the background to the creating of the Push Up Liner and a demo of how to use it, before being given a goody bag to play with containing the 'They're Real' triplet.
The 'They're Real Push Up Liner' is a sleek, easy to hold pen, which isn't awkward to use when drawing your liner on. One click dispenses a gel formula onto a patented 'acuflex' pen like tip which makes lining your eyes as easy as pie. You can easily draw thick or thin lines with it and the shape of the tip makes getting the cat eye flick simple and speedy. The formula is waterproof and doesn't fade or crack like some gel formulations I have tried in the past. The acuflex tip 'hugs' the lash line making your eyes look big and awake. Combine the liner with the 'They're Real' mascara and take it off at the end of the day with the gentle makeup remover and you've got yourself a killer combo.
The above video contains more clips of the event itself and a product review and trial at the end, so you can see the push up liner in action. The 'They're Real Push Up Liner' and 'Eye Makeup Remover' will be hitting Benefit stores this July- so keep your eyes peeled! Don't forget to follow me on bloglovin' here!

Do you believe in passion and romance?

IMG_9654
So, as the background suggests, I'm back in Brighton. I had three essay hand ins on Thursday and one final one on Monday before I am finished with second year Philosophy! I can't quite believe how early I finish, or the fact I'm entering my third and final year of uni- where has the time gone?! So this post is celebrating three things, end of uni, Summer days like this one you see here and my new Michael Kors clutch bag. Yup, it's a beaut.

My little clutch bag is my new favourite accessory, perfect for your phone, keys and cash on a night out, with a mint humbug print that I'm loving styled with clashing prints- as in the case above. I love the classy touch of the gold hardware and how it stands out against the black and white. It came beautifully packaged too, hence why I photographed it for you!

If you like what you see, perhaps you'd like to shop my wardrobe? I'm selling a load of stuff over on this Instagram account 'TheCameraLiesWardrobe' make me offers!

Thank you to Rosie, my housemate and fellow blogger for taking the outfit photographs for me- I think they turned out well! Well, I'm sorry to have to mention it again, but its blog awards season and I'd be really chuffed if you'd nominate my blog again! This time its the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards. You can nominate my blog for 'Best Established Fashion Blog' and my youtube channel for 'Best Vlog' thank you!

And we'll leave the world behind

IMG_9565
Wow, is that a print or what? When this beautiful dress arrived for me from WalG I instantly feel in love with the silky feel and print of the dress- its so abstract and unique. I wanted to let the dress really speak and thought that accessories would just get totally lost in the print, so I kept the rest of the outfit simple with my loafer heels from Topshop and my Topshop grey blazer to dress it up. I even tried the typical blogger trick of slinging my jacket over my shoulders rather than putting my arms through it- tricky and impractical but I felt very 'LFW.'

Back down the vista of my years

IMG_9528
Uh, oh those shoes are back! What can I say? I really am a smitten kitten. Give me a pastel, or a cleated sole at the moment and I'm all over it. These babies from Ebay are next on my cleated sole wish list *drools* in the pastel pink, please, thanks. Okay. This outfit is also a favourite of mine because it features my new skirt, kimono and sunglasses all at once. Does anyone else do this? Buy new clothes and want to wear them ALL AT ONCE, RIGHT AWAY? Haha I'm like a kid at Christmas. Can you believe you're also seeing me in.. *whispers* black..? Its not that I'm averted to the dark side, I'm just such a colour bug that I tend to brush aside black clothing as dull. However, this swishy kimono looks cute with my skirt (which adds a pop of colour, phew).
