Its that time of year again, get your thinking caps on, guys, tis the season to be jolly and thoughtful. The Camera's Lying is on hand to give you some ideas of gifts for him, for her, for stockings or straight up gifts. Let me know in the comments which gift guides you'd like to see on here.

Today we are talking stocking fillers or smaller gifts for 'her,' your Mum, sister, girlfriend or female friend. I've included a few 'different' items that I would be more than happy to see in my stocking, but some other ideas could be nail polishes, books/CDs to suit the receivers tastes, earphones, phone cases, stationary (I love receiving a nice fountain pen) or a lipstick!

Everybody wants a flame, but they don't want to get burnt

IMG_6324 (2)
Today was one of those crisp Autumn days which resulted in my getting up early, intent on heading into the Library to do work, but ending up chucking a frisbee around in the sunshine.. Oops. We played on the grass next to the library so productivity was in sight. This also explains the mud on my boots in these photographs, sorry!

Iconemesis Iphone Case Giveaway

Image sources: Iconemesis
When Ashleigh from Iconemesis (an online phone case company) contacted me asking if I'd like an Iphone case from them to review, I silently wished I had an iphone to dress up in their cute designs. I emailed back saying I would love to, but sadly, I am an android girl. However, the lovely Ashleigh came through an offered me the chance to give one of you guys a case! So, if you own an Iphone 4/4S/5/5S all you need to do is visit Iconemesis by clicking here, write a comment below telling me which phone case you like most, and what platform you follow me on (bloglovin or GFC are accepted). You also need to follow Iconemesis, either on Twitter or Facebook.

The giveaway will end on the 25th November and it is open worldwide! Good luck and enjoy.

Its a new art form, showing people how little we care

Today's outfit post was actually worn to uni, yesterday. The photographs come courtesy of my housemate and fellow fashion enthusiast, Rosie. Rosie has started a fashion blog recently called 'A Rosie Tinted Life,' so click the name to see her blog and leave her some love! Initially, I wore this playsuit thinking it would be comfortable and stylish at the same time, I was right, up until I needed the toilet in the library and went in alone, without a friend to help me zip myself back up/do the inconvenient button at the back up- oops.

Vintage Chanel

Silk Dress: $3,200
Tote Bag: $2,800
Bangle: $828
Two Piece: $2,250
Jacket: $5,500
Isn't that just the most beautiful site? 5 Of my top picks of Nasty Gal's genuine vintage Chanel collection. Yup, thats a thing. A heartbreakingly beautiful thing. As soon as I stumbled upon the excruciatingly painful collection I knew that if I couldn't have it, at least I could blog it. These are just my creme de la creme of the crop, but Nasty Gal have a huge collection -the biggest vintage Chanel collection I've ever seen in one place- and its positively drool worthy. Sorry if I've just broken any hearts out there, but it needed to be shared. Please excuse me, I'm off to cry C shaped tears...

Its going down, so I call timber

IMG_7472
The weekend just gone I spent with my family and friends back in London. It was nice to take a break from the craziness of uni life and catch up with everyone. I ate like a king (Sunday roast, filo tarts & gammon...) and spent most of the brief period I was there getting in a few weeks worth of hugs with my cat. My Mum and I also went thrift shopping to a local Charity Shop which has open near me. Its a new breed of charity shop, the 'boutique' chairty shop, selling the creme de la creme of cast offs and serving tea, cake and even ye olde sweets at the back of the shop! The whole experience was super cute and fun, especially considering the changing room was a little shed painted pink and turquoise, inside the shop itself, with floral curtains and a hanging chandelier inside (yep, really! See my Instagram for pics).

Dress: Charity Shop
Boots: Borrowed from my Mum!
Cardigan: H&M

Although more expensive than a conventional charity shop, I still managed to snag the dress I'm wearing above for £7, which, considering it still had tags on was pretty awesome. Its the epitmome of Autumnal florals and I love it. Yes, I look like Fall vomited on me with the brown riding boots and red hair, but hey, if you can't get away with it now, when can you?

I'm crashing like waves

IMG_7062
So blogging has taken a back seat in my life for the past few weeks and I'm not sorry about this, because, if I'm honest I'm now in a better place and able to concentrate more on blogging. Some times you just need to put yourself first. But I'm on a roll now! These photos were taken a few weeks ago when I went to a space party (before I did a crazy blue eye makeup look). The galaxy leggings were a bit of a costume cop out, but for a last ditch attempt it didn't work out too badly!

These leggings are basically the bomb diggity. Comfortable, with room for, ya know, food babies and such. But, they also look cool. The ultimate lazy day item of clothing. I love them so much I own three pairs in varying galaxy prints (yup, really). Well that is all for now chaps, don't forget to check my youtube channel which will be buzzing this week (promise).

AX Paris Party

IMG_7210 (2)
Last week I hit up London to go to the super cool cabaret bar and club Proud Cabaret, to watch AX paris' new Christmas advert and watch some burlesque. I wanted something sparkly and fun to wear to match the over the top venue and performances, so I opted for my tulle skirt and sparkly topshop top. As always, all the other bloggers had put in loads of outfit effort and everyone looked fab!

The lovely Lauren
So pleased Kavita made the trek from Germany to come!
Cosmo Award pals Adora and Paige!
I didn't take as many photos as I now wish I had- I was having to much fun watching the shows, chatting to my fave blogger pals and drinking the awesome cocktails. As always, AX Paris threw a great party with tip top goodie bags, a photobooth, cakes, pick N mix and a preview of some of their up coming pieces.

Thanks again, AX Paris!
